Amanda Albanese

was born in Providence, R.I. 1982. After graduating with a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from Flagler College, Albanese pursued her Master’s of Fine Arts from Pratt Institute. While living in Brooklyn Albanese interned with Thierry Goldberg Projects and Distributed Art Publishers. It was through these experiences that Albanese realized that sharing artistic experiences was a primary concern. Albanese began teaching through the Providence based non profit CityArts for Youth and Artists' Exchange, both community non-profits. It was through these experiences that an opportunity emerged to teach studio art with School One, a private high school in Providence. Albanese happily accepted this new challenge. It was here she realized her love for secondary education. After a college recruitment visit from Maine College of Art to School One, Albanese decided to pursue her Master of Arts in Teaching degree at Maine College of Art. She currently lives in Augusta, Maine.
